When we visited Disneyland Paris, our daughter was almost three, which meant choosing the right rides was a huge part of making the trip successful. This was especially important as we were visiting in February, when the colder weather and quieter crowds helped make the parks feel calmer and far more manageable for young children.

We stayed on site at Hotel Cheyenne and made the most of Extra Magic Hour, which meant extremely short queues first thing in the morning. This gave us access to some of the most popular Fantasyland rides for toddlers before the parks got busy, and it made a huge difference to how relaxed the whole experience felt.

Fantasyland is easily the best area of Disneyland Paris for toddlers. Most rides here are gentle, familiar, and designed with young children in mind.
It’s a Small World
This was one of the first rides we did and it was absolutely her favourite. Throughout the day we would periodically check the queue on the Disneyland Paris app, and if it was particularly short we would head back here again.
It’s slow, colourful, warm, and familiar, which makes it ideal for toddlers who are still taking everything in. Our little one sat quietly the entire time, pointing, waving, and soaking it all up.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Dumbo is one of the most iconic toddler rides at Disneyland Paris, gentle, familiar, and perfect for little ones.
Our daughter absolutely loved this one and would happily have gone again if the queue allowed. It gives toddlers that feeling of being in control as they move up and down.
This is one of those rides that feels quintessentially Disney, especially if your child already recognises the character.
Le Carrousel de Lancelot
This was such a lovely breather ride and perfect when we needed to slow the pace of the day.
If your toddler likes carousels at home, this is an easy win. It’s calm, gentle, and rarely has a long queue.
This is one of those Disneyland Paris rides for 2-3 year olds that works perfectly when you need something easy and familiar.
Peter Pan’s Flight
This was one of our absolute favourites, but also one of the busiest.
Peter Pan’s Flight is magical, gentle, and completely immersive. Our toddler sat wide eyed the entire time.
This is often considered one of the best Fantasyland rides for toddlers at Disneyland Paris, but queues can be long, so Extra Magic Hour is your best opportunity.

Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups
This one was pure joy.
Because you control how much the cup spins, it’s perfect for toddlers. We kept it gentle, laughed a lot, and it became one of those rides we all genuinely enjoyed together.
It’s colourful, cheerful, and one of the most fun Disneyland Paris rides suitable for toddlers.
Pinocchio’s Journey
Pinocchio was a hit, but this is one to gauge based on your child.
It’s darker in places and more story led, but our daughter was completely fine and enjoyed recognising characters.
This is a great option if your toddler is already comfortable with darker rides.
Best Walt Disney Studios Park rides for toddlers
Walt Disney Studios Park has fewer toddler rides overall, but there are still some brilliant options.
Ratatouille: The Adventure
Ratatouille was another standout.
It’s smooth, immersive, and visually engaging without being overwhelming. Our daughter loved the motion and visuals, and it felt like a great next step ride for toddlers at Disneyland Paris.
The 4D glasses were also a huge hit.
Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure
This surprised me because I wasn’t sure how she’d react, but she loved it.
It’s interactive, colourful, and engaging without being too intense.
Even though she didn’t fully understand the gameplay, she loved spotting characters and enjoying the movement.
This is one of the better modern rides at Disneyland Paris suitable for toddlers, especially those already familiar with Marvel characters.
Other toddler friendly rides at Disneyland Paris
Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
This was another huge hit.
Despite being dark in places, it moves slowly and feels fun rather than scary.
This is a great choice if you’re looking for Disneyland Paris rides suitable for toddlers who might be nervous about bigger rides.
The ride we skipped on purpose: Crush’s Coaster
Crush’s Coaster is hugely popular, but we made a conscious decision not to ride it.
Friends of ours had children of a similar age who came off crying, and after watching the ride, it just didn’t feel appropriate.
It’s faster, darker, and more intense than anything else we did.
Skipping it meant avoiding unnecessary upset, and we didn’t feel like we missed out.

Les Voyages de Pinocchio (Fantasyland)
This gentle indoor ride takes you through the story of Pinocchio in a slow moving carriage.
It’s very similar in style to other Fantasyland rides and is generally considered suitable for toddlers, although like many indoor rides, parts are darker.
If your toddler enjoys story based rides like It’s a Small World, this is a great option to include.
Fantasyland is easily the best area for Disneyland Paris toddler rides, with the highest concentration of gentle attractions suitable for young children.
Casey Jr. – Le Petit Train du Cirque (Fantasyland)
This small circus themed train ride is often recommended as one of the best Disneyland Paris rides for toddlers.
It’s outdoors, colourful, and gentle, with no sudden drops or intense movement. It’s also shorter than many rides, which makes it perfect for younger children with shorter attention spans.
Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin (Walt Disney Studios Park)
This Toy Story themed ride is another popular option for toddlers, especially those who already love the characters.
It spins in a gentle circular motion rather than fast drops, making it suitable for most young children, although every toddler’s tolerance is different.
