Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne Review: Is It Worth It for Families?

If you’re looking for a budget friendly Disney hotel at Disneyland Paris, Hotel Cheyenne is often one of the first options that comes up. It’s Toy Story themed, one of the cheaper onsite hotels, and popular with families visiting with young children.

We stayed at Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne during our February trip to Disneyland Paris with our toddler, sharing a room with my mother in law. Here’s our honest review of what it’s really like, including the rooms, location, food, and whether it’s worth staying here when visiting Disneyland Paris with toddlers.

What is Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne like?

Hotel Cheyenne is designed like a Wild West town, with each accommodation block styled to look like a different building you’d find in a frontier village. Rather than feeling like one big hotel complex, it feels like a small themed town, which makes it much more fun and immersive for children.

The Toy Story theming is subtle but effective, and our toddler loved exploring the walkways and spotting familiar characters. It immediately felt like part of the Disney experience, rather than just somewhere to sleep.

Our Room at Hotel Cheyenne

We shared a standard room between three adults and one child, and while it was definitely on the snug side, it worked absolutely fine for our stay. The sofa pulled out into a bed for my mother in law, and although space was limited once everything was set up, it was still comfortable.

In reality, you don’t spend much time in your hotel room when you’re at Disney. We needed somewhere clean, warm, comfortable and practical, and Hotel Cheyenne ticked all of those boxes. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and it was perfect for collapsing into after long park days.

Location: How close is Hotel Cheyenne to the parks?

When booking, you can request a room either closer to the hotel amenities or closer to the parks. We chose a room closer to the parks, and it turned out to be a great decision.

What we hadn’t realised at the time was how quick and pleasant the walk would be. Using the river path, it took us around 10–15 minutes to walk to the parks, and the route takes you past the Marvel Hotel, which made the walk feel like part of the experience rather than a chore.

With a toddler and winter weather, having such an easy walk back to the hotel at the end of the day was a huge plus.

Breakfast and food at Hotel Cheyenne

We only ate breakfast at Hotel Cheyenne once, as we used our meal plan dinners at other restaurants across Disneyland Paris and also booked a character dining breakfast elsewhere.

Breakfast at Cheyenne was exactly what you’d expect from a Disney hotel. There was a full English breakfast selection alongside continental options, with plenty of choice for adults. Our daughter was instantly sold thanks to the Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes, which were a definite highlight for her.

If you’re using a meal plan, Hotel Cheyenne works well as a base rather than somewhere you need to eat all your meals.

Extra magic time: A big bonus

One of the biggest perks of staying at a Disney hotel is Extra Magic Time, which gives you early access to the parks in the morning.

This made a huge difference for us. The parks were noticeably quieter first thing, which meant less waiting, easier walking with a buggy, and a much calmer start to the day. For families visiting Disneyland Paris with toddlers, this perk alone can make staying on site feel worthwhile.

Characters and facilities at Hotel Cheyenne

We didn’t see any characters at Hotel Cheyenne during our stay, which is worth noting if hotel character encounters are important to you.

There’s also no swimming pool at this hotel, unlike some of the more expensive Disney hotels. This is likely one of the reasons Hotel Cheyenne is cheaper, and for us, it wasn’t an issue at all. We were so busy in the parks that we wouldn’t have used a pool anyway.

Is Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne worth it for families?

For our family, Hotel Cheyenne was exactly what we needed.

It was:
> Comfortable and clean
> Close to the parks
> Fun and themed for our toddler
> Easy to navigate with a child
> Good value for an on-site Disney hotel

We weren’t looking for luxury or lots of hotel facilities. We wanted a practical, affordable Disney hotel that kept travel time short and felt fun for our child, and Hotel Cheyenne delivered on all of that.

Final Thoughts: Would we stay at Hotel Cheyenne again?

Hotel Cheyenne isn’t the most luxurious Disney hotel, but it doesn’t try to be. It’s playful, well-located, and ideal for families who plan to spend most of their time in the parks.

For our February trip to Disneyland Paris with a toddler, it worked brilliantly, and we’d happily stay here again.
